UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs Font showcases some of the highest fight IQ contenders in the bantamweight division, Cory Sandhagen and Rob Font. We’ve got a collection challenge to celebrate one of the most cerebral fighters to ever step foot inside the Octagon, Dominick Cruz. 

Former bantamweight champion and divisional great Dominick Cruz paved the road for world class talents like Cory Sandhagen to follow, utilizing his unorthodox footwork and wrestling pedigree to set traps and capitalize on openings left by his opponents. As well-rounded an athlete as the sport has to offer, Cruz would tailor a game plan to his specific opponent, molding his style to exploit areas of weakness, and this was never more evident than in his fight with Takeya Mizugaki.

Three years removed from his title defense against Demetrious Johnson, Dominick Cruz returned to the Octagon at UFC 178 against Takeya Mizugaki after a grueling series of injuries kept him away from competition. Not missing a beat, Cruz overwhelmed Mizugaki with his footwork, perfectly timed a double leg takedown, and followed up with frantic ground and pound against the fence, finishing the fight via TKO in round one. There are few athletes that can rebound effectively from catastrophic injuries, but to put on arguably the best performance of his career after three years away firmly places Dominick Cruz in the rarified air of UFC greats.

REWARD

The reward for this challenge is a Series 1 Dominick Cruz Fandom-tier Moment from UFC 178: Johnson vs Cariaso. Cruz defeated his opponent Takeya Mizugaki via TKO in the first round.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Deadline: Collectors have until 11AM PT on Tuesday, August 8th to complete the Challenge. All criteria must be completed to earn the reward. 

Completions: Each collector can complete the Challenge multiple times to earn multiple rewards (unlimited completions). The final Edition size of the Moment will be equal to the number of total completions.

Reward Delivery: Once the challenge ends, we will airdrop the Fandom moment reward to qualifying collectors based on the final snapshot. Please expect up to one week for reward delivery.
